    1. Hello Vhon! If you want to replace your old sim to LTE prepaid without replacing your old number, you may visit nearest Globe store in your location to process your request. Just bring Actual SIM and please be noted that SIM must be working.

Hi, I have a problem, I accidentally deactivate my roaming while I’m still in abroad via *143#, to activate it I told my sister to call the globe in the Philippines to reactivate it, chat with their support thru fb wherein I need to wait 3hrs or more, they’re telling that they already activated it and advise me to transfer my sim to other units wherein I did it also and restarted it several times but found empty, hope you can help me solve this issue because I’m waiting for an important text from the Philippines. Thanks

    1. Hi Jinky. To activate, text GROAM ON [Start Date] [Number of Days] and send to 2884. Php100 minimum balance is needed to enable activation for Globe International Roaming. You also need to have at least Php100 on your daily balance in order for the service to continue working. Request for roaming activation may be done between 7 days before the date of departure to at least 1 hour before departure. The maximum length for activation is 180 days.

  2. I left Philippines without activating Roam on and now I can’t seem to have luck in doing so. Any advice? Please help. Thank you!

    1. Hi Acee!

Recently we have verified with Globe that roaming is now automatically registered to both Prepaid and Postpaid User. Try to use any their services to verify that your sim is already activated.

  3. My Globe roaming simcard is already activated but I cannot receive any incoming calls. How can I receive incoming calls? Should I buy a load? How much is the maintaining balance to receive incoming calls for roaming?

    1. Hi Pheuz!

If your want to receive calls from Philippines or network outside Philippines. It looks like you need to have a load to receive calls.

For every call you receive from the Philippines and made from a landline, or a mobile number (whether or not it is under Globe), you get charged based on the incoming voice call rate of the roaming partner**.

The same goes for calls you receive from a landline or from a mobile customer of a network outside the Philippines, or from a roaming customer of Globe or other mobile network.

**subject to 15% roaming surcharge and 12% VAT on the surcharge.

Maintaining balance or minimum required load is not specified by Globe.

    2. Hi Jessie!

Recently we have verified with Globe that roaming is now automatically registered to both Prepaid and Postpaid User.

However if it still not activated you can follow this steps.

      Via Text

      1. Simple create a text message with the code: GROAM ON
      2. Send this to 2884
      3. Make sure you do this AT LEAST 24 hours before your flight.

      Via Globe’s Self-Service Menu

      1. Dial *143#
      2. Choose Roaming & Int’l > Activate Roaming
      3. You will receive a message confirming the activation of your roaming signal.

As soon as you do this, your Globe Roaming (GROAM) status is set to “Pending” and will be activated as soon as you reach your destination and get signal from the local network provider partnered with Globe. So before you leave and while you’re still “Pending” you can still enjoy all of Globe’s promos and local service rates while waiting in the airport. This includes data browsing and call & text services.

  4. I have activated roam on before leaving phils, but a pop up message appear that roaming is automatically activated when you arrive at your country of destination.. im here in korea now and try to turn on the phone to check if roaming is activated, sad to say it was not,
Can you please advice how can i use my globe sim and activate my roaming, it has load already above minimum required to be activated.
    Heres my no. 09560127274
    Tnx in advance

    1. Hi Xan,

Globe’s Automatic Roaming Support was implemented last June 6. There might be some issues with this support. However, upon arrival, you need to at least receive a roaming signal to instantly connect to Globe’s partner network. If you can’t receive any signal, try to hard reset your device, turn off your mobile phone then remove the SIM and battery (if applicable) for 30 seconds, and then put them back in. Turn it on to refresh its network connections. If you still can’t connect to any network, try selecting a roaming operator manually. To do that, go to your phone’s Menu then select Settings > Network Selection > Choose a roaming partner.

  5. I activated my globe sim for roaming but i can’t make outgoing calls. It says ‘outgoing calls barred’. How can i fix this?

    1. Hi Yol,

Barring is the state where you can’t make or receive texts or call.
Maybe when you have activated your roaming the barring activated too. You can try to deactivate it.

      For INCOMING calls and texts:
To deactivate call and text barring:
*Dial #35*<4-digit code># on your mobile phone and press the call key.
To deactivate call and text barring from INTERNATIONAL numbers only:
*Dial #351*<4-digit code># on your mobile phone and press the call key.

      For OUTGOING calls and texts:
To deactivate call and text barring:
*Dial #33*<4-digit code># on your mobile phone and press the call key.
To deactivate your call and text barring for INTERNATIONAL numbers only:
*Dial #331*<4-digit code># on your mobile phone and press the call key.

Note: Your default 4-digit code is 1234.

      Hope this helps!

    1. Hi Yol.

As of now, the most effective way to fix this is to have someone in the Philippines, either family or friends to call Globe’s customer service (02) 730 1000, and have them tell about your problem and give them your number.

  6. I previously had a signal of my prepaid roaming # here in Romania but suddenly I don’t have it anymore. I tried to reset and took out the sim out for 30 secs and reset the phone. But i still don’t have it.

    1. Hello RJA!

Try selecting a roaming operator manually. To do that, go to your phone’s Menu then select Settings > Network Selection > Choose a roaming partner.
If you’re currently subscribed to a roaming promo, remember to choose the corresponding operator of that promo.

If you still don’t have signal after that, try contacting Globe’s online specialists, you can contact them via Twitter @Talk2GLOBE. You may also call their hotline +6327301212 for toll-free (use another Globe mobile for assistance) or you may send HELP to 1234.

  7. I just bought a regular LTE sim and I will be taking it with me when I go back to UAE as my roaming sim. How do I register it for roam service. I will be using it indefinite because I am an OFW. My vacation is every two years. Thank you.

    1. Hi Jen, to activate your sim, text GROAM ON [Start Date] [Number of Days] and send to 2884. Php100 minimum balance is needed to enable activation for Globe International Roaming. You also need to have at least Php100 on your daily balance in order for the service to continue working.
